Ukraine game on the internet...

by denzil85 @ Friday, Oct. 09, 2009 - 08:17:04

I have to admit that I'm not really a fan of international football - lack of patriotism I guess - or maybe I'm more worried about players from my club team getting injured and the impact it could have on the team's season. That being said I will still try and watch games because its still football. I think I'll be giving the Ukraine game a miss though, as I don't fancy paying specifically to watch it online. If there was something riding on the game, something more than pride, I might have paid the £5 or £10 to "buy" the game, but there isn't so I don't see the point.

I think using the internet to broadcast games is a good idea though, as internet speeds in the country are at the point where watching live events online is no longer a problem. What do others think?

I have to admit I don't really follow the internationals considering how often the FA have overlooked good English managers but I see no problem with internet broadcasting but not at the price they were asking.
It should have been free with online advertising and it would have have done alot better.

They thought that they could provide a service for a million subscribers with no problems, even if they charged a quid for each person, that would still have more than covered the costs, and that would be before any kind of advertising revenue came in!
