Title race still too predictable?

by denzil85 @ Monday, Oct. 05, 2009 - 15:04:07

If the general trend of results from the start of the Premiership season are to be believed, I think the title will most likely be won by Chelsea, United or even Arsenal with Liverpool perhaps providing a fairly strong challenge.  I think the race for the European places could be more interesting though, with Everton and Villa being reasonably consistently there or thereabouts over the last few years; City with all that money are looking good too, although its still to be seen how Hughes can handle the egos if results start slipping.  I predict that Sunderland could be dark horses this season as Bruce seems to have bought wisely.

Yeah, it is beginning to look depressingly predictable already. I still reckon Arsenal will cause some trouble up at the top though.

Speaking of depressing, its a tough time to be a Hertha fan don't you think?

Lucky I am much more of an interested observer than a fan then! ;)

Happy, happy days to be a Sampdoria fan though. :)

I think you are spot on there and its good to see Sunderland buck the tend and give the big four something to worry about.
What does sadden me is how Man Utd can lose two huge stars and still quite easily stay in the top 3 which just goes to show how big the division is between the top 4 and and the rest of the premiership.

Looking at your name, I guess you're a Spurs fan? After a few years of being up and down the table, I reckon they're ready to challenge to be in among the European places too, along with the likes of Everton, Villa, City, Sunderland, etc.

Oh yes the curse of childhood brainwashing by uncles.LOL
I think currentley Spurs are as you rightly say are one of the teams that have a good chance of a Euro spot but sadly our handicap is the chairman.LOL
Me I just don't want the greatest league in the world become like the SPL which is a 2 horse race.
