Old England players must now be amazed as to how easy it is to earn an England cap these days. The recent fiasco against Trinidad puts it all into perspective.
Seven subs were used, which means that some players got a previously much-valued cap for less than 10 minutes on the pitch. Surely the worst occasion was a little while back when in a game versus Australia, the whole team was substituted at half-time.
Also,in an age when we are taxed to the hilt in the name of global warming do we really need an England team to across the Atlantic to play a meaningless out of season friendly.

And that's before mentioning the fact I'm the only remaining football playing man in the country who HASN'T captained England...
Course, on the meaningless side of it... this was a PR exercise, pure and simple, hoping to get Jack Warner's backing for a World Cup bid...
After all, we're buggering up the Olympics, we might as well bugger up the World Cup too!
