"Sadly for us it could have been worse. 5-1 is a bit harsh but it's a reality check if we needed one which I don't think we did."

the messiah finally admits he has took control of a club in freefall

what with his ridiculous call for the services of thierry henry - lmao

the man has been out of the game for too long

survival this season will be a realistic achievement

next season i fear his problems will be doubled when newcastle united reveal their financial debts to be in the red by tens of millions

it's turning into something of a joke at the moment.

Well he gets on my wick. Always has done. Even when he played he was annoying.

I feel sorry for Keegan, I honestly think he was in a no-win situation.

Return to a club in festering decline - lose his messiah status.

Turn them down and let word get out to the fans he "deserted" them - lose his messiah status.

We all love to be loved, by taking over there was a miniscule extra percentage of chance he might have managed something miraculous.

He's a brilliant man-manager and inspirational talker but tactically he's often naive and right now with the planks he has at the back (N'Zogbia at left back?!) and the lack of confidence up front that's his massive downfall.

you're very generous to feel sorry for him, is all i can say.
but the finger should be pointing at the newcastle board for allowing the club to get into this state, then playing to the gallery by appointing keegan.

Heh, don't get me started, I can rant about irrational dislike of people in football and it's immaturity for hours...

Yeah, when the chairman sits with the most illogical people in a football ground (the supporters) there's always going to be problems...

It's being run in a very amateur way.

I need a reality check. Where in the Northern Hemisphere can I get one? Should I ask Derby County fans?

try man city, who made a very wise appointment, and gave him the money to spend.
